Orientation Sensor Online Adaptive Calibration Capability
The SmartIMU GPS IMU sensor products provide robust position and orientation information by adapting to various platform disturbances. The main feature of this orientation sensor is the ability to compensate for platform induced magnetic fields. This orientation sensor requires no calibration by the user and dynamically adapts to static and dynamic changes to the platform magnetic signature.
The SmartIMU GPS IMU sensor products provide position and orientation data for use in a wide variety of applications. Knowledge of Euler angles can be used for control and remote sensing applications.
All of the Standard SmartIMU sensors come with an evaluation software that lets the user set the desired baud rate, COM port, GPS Messages, and any custom messages designed for their applications. In addition to the NMEA messages, the SmartIMU provides roll, pitch, and yaw data, as well as angular rate and acceleration information.
The SmartIMU GPS IMU sensor evaluation software allows for full 3D visualization of the orientation capabilities of the SmartIMU GPS IMU sensor.
